Fishscale Panels Used As Door Inserts:

Photograph kindly supplied by Ken and Jenny Rotman  of Ford House Bed and Breakfast Retreat in Bridgetown, Western Australia.

The Fishscale panels were used as inserts in doors in the Delaportes Suite.  They were painted in such a way as to give the aged appearance needed for this project.

This elegant bed and breakfast retreat is set in the most exquisite grounds and offers 4.5 star accommodation, delicious food and many facilities.  Historic Bridgetown is situated in the heart of the South-West and boasts beautiful scenery, wineries, the Bridgetown Blues Festival, a cider factory and many more things to see.

My husband and I stayed at Ford House for our 20th anniversary.  We were totally impressed with our accommodation, with Ken and Jenny's friendliness and with the lovely cooked breakfast we received each morning.  We would thoroughly recommend you stay there if you are in the area.

Needless to say, my husband and I stayed in the Delaportes Suite with the pressed metal
feature doors. Whilst at Ford House we took some other photographs to entice you there:

The furnishings in each suite are exquisite.
Delaportes is styled on a French theme.

Ducks and geese wander around the beautiful gardens

This is my favourite room, The Barn.  Jenny preserves all the fruit and vegetables you see in this picture.  Her preserves are used in the delicious breakfasts served each morning.  On occasions the Barn is used for functions such as conventions.
