Before you think about fixing water pipes and or any other plumbing fixtures check that you are allowed to by your local government authority.

Australia's rainfall is the lowest of all the continents in the world apart from Antarctica. Despite living in such a dry country, Australians have one of the highest per capita water consumption rates in the world. Two thirds of the Earth's population use less than 60 litres of water a day yet the average Australian uses more than twice that amount in just having a shower.

A dripping tap can waste thousands of litres of water per year and often it is only a washer that needs replacing. Do your bit for the environment and fix your leaking taps.
