Fishscale (P)

Portion of the Fishscale panel    

The photograph to the left is only a portion of the full panel.  This portion measures roughly:
610 mm x 610 mm (2' x 2')

 

        The size of the full panel:

  • 1828 mm x 915 mm (6' x 3')

There are also a few  extra millimetres added on around the edges to allow for panel lapping

It is available in aluminium and galvanised steel.

The Fishscale comes in two forms.  One is suitable for walls and the other is mostly used for awnings.  See below:

Form 1 - Fishscales cover the whole of the panel.  This is the most economical form of Fishscale panelling and would be used on walls.  When installing the panels above each other on a vertical surface you can fix them as is, or you can scallop the lower edge of the top panel, see below:


 

Form 2 - This version has a flat area running along  the top and the bottom of the panel.  This style of panel would be used on areas such as window awnings where the flat edge areas could be needed to roll or curve. You can partially see the flat edges in this photograph:

 
Some people have turned the fishscale pattern upside down to achieve the look of an Indian temple.  See:
