So, what
do I actually
do?
In a
nutshell, this is what I do:
I design layouts for pressed tin ceilings
so that their proportions are perfectly in
balance, I supply an extensive range of
pressed tin ceilings and wall panelling, I hand-paint the
designs in those panels and I also hand-paint plaster
products such as ceiling medallions and roses,
domes and cornices. I offer an extensive range of designs
and colour schemes to choose from. I am
particularly passionate about tin ceilings because
they are so versatile.
Widely different effects can be
achieved by the way the tin ceilings interact with each
other and by the way in which they are painted. The
same panel can produce both a mellow effect and other times
a bold shiny effect. Tin ceilings
can be used in both historic restoration and in contemporary
projects. Architects and designers are now realizing
this is not just a restoration product. It is far more
than that. It is a highly decorative option for modern
venues such as nightclubs, restaurants and department
stores.
Honesty is my policy
I always respect my clients'
requests but if I feel that a certain element in their
ideas is flawed then I explain why and offer alternative
ideas. I would rather be honest and lose a sale than not
give my customers my very best and frank advice.
Ultimately the end decision lies with the customer and I
respect this.
